Illinois BASSET Alcohol Seller/Server Certification
This BASSET online training course is required to obtain your Illinois BASSET certification card. This training course is designed to promote the legal and responsible sale and service of alcoholic beverages in Illinois.
BASSET certification, "Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training" was created by the State of Illinois to teach sellers and servers of alcoholic beverages the importance of serving alcohol responsibly. Bartenders, waiters, and their managers, who complete this training, are more successful in stopping underage drinking and in recognizing the signs of intoxication.
This responsible beverage course meets the requirements set forth by the Illinois Liquor Control Commission ILCC

You have 6 months from enrollment to complete this course. You can log in and out of your training account and your place in the course will be saved.
After successfully completing this BASSET course and the 20 multiple choice question final exam, you will be able to print your temporary BASSET certification card from your own printer.

Official BASSET Card
Upon successfully completing the BASSET course final exam, you will be able to immediately print your temporary certificate. It will also be emailed to you. On a weekly basis, BASSETpermit.com submits BASSET completion records to the Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILCC). The ILCC will issue your official BASSET card and mail it to you at the address you provided during registration.
Your Illinois BASSET certification is valid for 3 years from the date of course completion unless you work in a municipality where re-certification is required more often.
The BASSET certification card must be carried by the person whose name appears on the card and is the person selling and/or serving the alcoholic beverage.
If you lose your BASSET certification card and need a replacement, you will need to contact the ILCC directly. There is a $15 fee to replace a BASSET certification card. To contact the ILCC regarding a replacement BASSET card, please call 312-814-0773 or email ilcc_info@mail.state.il.us.
BASSET Training Requirements
BASSET alcohol training is not mandatory in the State of Illinois; however, some municipalities in the State of Illinois do require BASSET training. Check your local ordinances to see if BASSET alcohol training is required in order to be employed at a liquor establishment.

Training providers must be approved by the ILCC, this BASSET course meets all the requirements of the State of Illinois. You can view the BASSETpermit.com program approval on the Illinois Liquor Control Commission website.
